Opened Pots n Shot on the 24th March 2023.

First league joined was the Pinetown Social Pool League (PSPL), consisting of 2 teams, totaling, 18 registered players. Our club consisted of 4 professional spec pool tables, which was a club within this league with the most tables. In July 2023 an opportunity arose to register Pots n Shots in the Blackball South Africa (BSA) Cuesport Federation. (Worldwide Recognised Federation) Grabbed the opportunity with both hands and plunged in, registering 30 players through Pots n Shots. This was an opportunity for players to be able to be recognised within this sporting code. Eg KZN trials for KZN colours, moving on to
represent at the SA Championships (held in DBN March 2024) and then possibly representing SA at the World Championships in the United Kingdom in October this year.

We had 5 of our qualifying club players represent KZN at the SA Championships in March 2024, and all of these sportsmen have qualified in representing SA at the upcoming World Championship. We have 3 disabled players and all of them were selected to play at the Hawley Cup World Championships at the World Champion ships. Two of our Club Ladies, qualified as Team Managers at the SA Championships and have been selected as the World Championship’s Managers. for the representing teams from SA. These achievements are exceptional, and cant go unnoticed. This club is souring to the top of the KZN cuesport circuit. In a mere one and a half years running, in terms of registered BSA player numbers, we are in the top 3 out of over 20 BSA registered clubs in KZN. We are running league, 2 matches per night, 3 nights a week, Tues, Wed and Thursday. Plan for next year’s season is to include Monday nights in order to grow the league by another 4 teams, (20 players), totaling 80 registered players.

On registration for the season 2024/ 2025, we have had more than 100% player registration growth and are currently at a 60 player strong league consisting of 12 teams of 5 players each. We are in the 16th week of our team scheduled matches. Having a Doubles Tournament between the two, 11 week rounds, which lasted 5 weeks. After which a Singles Tournament will be held, to end off the season in November. All these events will be utilised for the selection of the players, who will represent the club at the KZN trials for selection to play at the SA Championships, early 2025. Due to the growth of the player numbers, we have expanded capabilities from 4 tables to currently owning 6 Professional specification pool tables. Planning has already been done for a 7th pool table to be installed early 2025

At present the space usage within the club has been utilised to its full potential. Planning and meetings have been executed with regards to installing an outside decking area on the South side of the main building. This will encourage more exposure of WCC to the growing numbers of patrons we are getting and definitely more membership signings. This extra space will be beneficial for the pool club, as an outside area is really needed for fresh air and a relaxing area for players to use in between their matches.
