After returning to the sport later in life, Allen expanded his expertise into both pool and snooker, proudly representing the South African National Defence Force in cue sports and earning recognition for his achievements.

Today, Allen is the WCC Cue Section Pro, where he combines his extensive playing experience with a genuine passion for coaching. He believes cue sports are about far more than competition – they build focus, discipline, confidence, and lifelong friendships. His goal is to create a welcoming environment where every player can enjoy the game while developing their skills.

At the Westville Country Club Cue Section, Allen leads a dedicated coaching team offering Pool and Snooker coaching for players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced competitors. Every new player receives a free introductory assessment, allowing the coaching team to evaluate their current ability and develop a personalised training programme tailored to their goals.
